Welcome to Casa Lanui, one of the unique luxury homes in Costa Rica. This brand new five-star villa has over 9,340 square feet (867m2) of construction and is situated in a private 1.6-acre (6500m2) property fronting the beautiful beach of Santa Teresa.
The space
Casa stands for “home” in Spanish and Lanui for “holiday” in Hawaiian, and we guarantee you precisely this: a holiday of a lifetime.
The villa design is modern, classy, and hippie chic and will make you feel at home away from home.
Casa Lanui is located in the northern, most exclusive part of Santa Teresa, with direct access to the white-sand beach. All along the location of this beachfront villa, surfers can find the most consistent waves of Costa Rica.
This 7 bedroom, 7.5 bathroom villa comfortably accommodates big families or a group of friends in a unique, private and safe location.
Casa Lanui is located within North Creek Estate, on the same property as Casa Taman (4 bedroom 4.5 bath). Both houses can be rented separately or together for a large group, sleeping up to 28 guests combined.
Casa Lanui features three master bedrooms with breathtaking ocean views, one master bedroom with a garden view, and two children’s bedrooms, each with two bunk beds, sleeping 8 in total. For accompanying staff (assistant, babysitter, chef…) or those who prefer more privacy, there is also a separate studio with a king-size bed, full bathroom, and kitchenette. This studio is handicap accessible and has an en-suite adapted full bathroom and roll-in shower.
The spacious living area can be opened entirely towards the pool, deck, and the ocean beyond. Inside, you will find a big kitchen and prep kitchen, fully equipped, with ample seating at the kitchen island and at a console-style table for 8-10 people. The dining area includes an 18-foot-long dining table that comfortably sits 20 people. Guests can relax in a large, cozy lounge area with a 60” television and the ocean view in the background.
In front of the living room, you can enjoy the infinity edge pool with shallow hang-out areas, surrounded by terraces with several lounge chairs for your tanning and leisure activities.
There is an outdoor patio with a massage, yoga, and workout area. Casa Lanui has two massage tables available, and you can choose to have a massage inside in an air-conditioned room, in our outdoor shaded yoga deck, or in the garden, close to the ocean under the shade of one of our many trees.
Between the house and the beach is a naturally shaded, spacious, open area with lounge chairs and hammocks. Guests can enjoy a cocktail or dinner with an amazing tropical sunset view at the large dining table located close to the beach. The beach in front of the North Creek Estate is stunning, with pristine sand that goes on forever. You can relax in full privacy in the shade of numerous trees while watching some fantastic, consistent surf.

Neighbourhood overview
Santa Teresa, a string of beaches on the southern tip of Costa Rica’s northwestern peninsula, has an edge-of-the-world vibe that still feels remote and inspires dreams of relocation. Driving down the dusty dirt road that connects the area’s four beaches — Playa Carmen, Playa Hermosa, Santa Teresa and Mal Pais —you will wonder what your life would be like in a town that experiences almost year-round sunshine (punctuated by the occasional biblical rainstorm, sure) and consistent 80-degree temperatures. This road that runs parallel to the beach has many cute cafés, restaurants, some galleries and the odd fashion boutique dotted among the surf shops.
